2. What Scrieb Does With Your Audio

Scrieb is a local-first application. All audio recording and transcription happens entirely on your device. Your audio files and transcripts are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud service. We have no access to your recordings.

3. Data Collected on This Website

3.1 Server Log Files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, date and time of access. This data is used solely to ensure technical operation and is deleted after 7 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

3.2 Firebase Analytics (Google)

We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to understand how visitors use our website — including page views and scroll depth. Firebase may transfer data to Google servers in the USA. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tools: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3.3 Ahrefs Analytics

We use Ahrefs Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., 16 Raffles Quay, #33-03 Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581) to measure website traffic. Ahrefs collects anonymized visitor data including page views and referral sources. No personally identifiable information is collected. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.4 Stripe (Payment Processing)

When you subscribe to Scrieb, you are redirected to Stripe (Stripe, Inc., 510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA) to complete payment. Stripe processes your email address and payment details. We receive only your email and subscription status — never your card details. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance).

4. Cookies

This website uses technically necessary cookies to ensure basic functionality. Analytics services (Firebase, Ahrefs) may set additional cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies; however, some features of the site may not function correctly as a result.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Subscription-related data (email address) is retained for the duration of the subscription and deleted within 30 days of termination, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
